Dr. Smith is as local as you can get. He was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix Arizona. He graduated with honors in 1998 from the Arizona State University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and emphasis in organic chemistry. He had several rotations while attending The Southern California College of Optometry including an ocular disease rotation at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Amarillo Texas, Macalapa Medical Clinic in Pearl Harbor Hawaii, and the Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Smith currently owns and works at The Westbrook Vision Center in Peoria Arizona. He is an adjunct professor at Midwestern University and teaches business management to the optometry students. He is a member of The American Optometric Association and past President of The Arizona Optometric Association. He was awarded the President's award for best eye doctor n 2016.
His optometric passion is in the fitting of the best contact lenses in Carefree for patients that suffer from corneal issues and / or refractive surgery blunders. You can expect the best contact lenses in Anthem or Carefree from Dr. Smith. He lives in Northwest Peoria with his wife Bethanie, son Ethan, daughter Madeline and rat-like dog, Gizmo.
Dr. Shawn Giese grew up in North Dakota. He graduated summa cum laude from North Dakota State in 2001.
He then graduated from Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Shawn completed internships at VA Hospital of Los Angeles, CA, Maricopa County Hospital, VA of Tucson and The Eye Clinic of Fullerton, CA.
Dr. Shawn Giese has ofﬁces in Chandler and Gilbert where he has been
practicing for the last 12 years. He has been active in The American Optometric Associations and The Arizona Optometric Association.
Dr. Shawn enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, golf, working out and spending quality time with his family and dog.
Dr. Jasan Uppal is an optometrist working in the Phoenix area. Dr. Uppal completed his undergraduate studies with Honors at the University of Toronto with a specialization in Biology. He then went on to study optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating Cum Laude. Dr. Uppal pursued a post-graduate residency specializing in primary care/ocular disease at the Illinois Eye Institute. He worked as an assistant professor at the Illinois College of Optometry for 3 years teaching clinical, laboratory, and lecture components to optometry students before moving to Arizona. Currently, Dr. Uppal is an adjunct clinical professor at Midwestern University and works at Carefree EyeCare. In his leisure time, he enjoys hiking, working out, playing musical instruments and spending time with his wife.
